Pure Barre Franchisees Use CASPR Technology to Help Get Back to Work

Even before COVID-19 struck, Pure Barre franchisee Adrienne Boss was taking steps to ensure the sanitation of her Nashua and Bedford, New Hampshire studios.

“We were proud to be recognized among the cleanest and healthiest exercise facilities in the region,” explained Boss, “but we wanted to remain on the cutting edge of best practices.”

The company initially brought in an in-duct disinfection unit from CASPR Technologies. They secured the services of Environmental Infection Prevention to do three rounds of independent biological testing. The results blew them away and justified their investment. Despite the studio’s intensive hygiene practices, the tests revealed a 90-99% reduction in pathogen levels on surfaces and in the air.

However, March 17, 2020, her Pure Barre studios were forced to close. She used the interceding time to further prepare her gyms for safety for her staff and her members. She additionally installed CASPR Pro Mobile at each of her studios, and spent time to educate her staff and her members about the added steps she was taking to secure their safe environment.

“When we were able to reopen on June 3rd, we were able to retain all of our staff,” said Boss. “I was elated that they felt safe in our environment, and they were able to help us share this information with our members. Having a state-of-the-art disinfected space helped us to maintain memberships when others were losing them.”

Boss has experienced other added benefits, as well. She loves the clean, fresh smell that occurs with a continuously disinfected studio space, and so does her members. Her team has used this as a marketing advantage.

“Because we’ve explained air and surface disinfection to our guests, we have been able to educate and really shape opinions,” explained Boss. “We wanted a better solution that was continuous and didn’t rely on additional training for our staff, and this was it. We are disinfecting the air and every surface rather than just filtering the air like other solutions.”

Now, Boss represents just two of over 100 Pure Barre locations across the US that have installed CASPR solutions. They found the product helps differentiate the Pure Barre brand with a commitment to providing the cleanest and healthiest spaces for their loyal members and staff.

CIP Invests in Cleaner Air & Surface Technology for Apartment Communities

CASPR Hospital-Grade Disinfectant Technology in Elevators, Common Areas Create Safe and Clean Environment to Protect Residents from COVID-19 and Other Communicable Diseases

DALLAS – April 7, 2021 —  Aspire at CityPlace, a brand-new ultra-luxury apartment and townhome community developed by Commercial Investment Properties (CIP) in suburban St. Paul, Minnesota, will open to residents in June with a state of the art system designed to continuously clean the air and surfaces throughout the common areas. The buildings are installing CASPR disinfection technology in all three elevators and common areas including the grand, two-story lobby with sunken lounge, 24-Hour fitness center, entertainment suite and work from home spaces.

“We like working with industry leaders who are innovating in the health and wellness space,” said Todd Wiggs, Senior Vice President, Sales and Business Development at CASPR Technologies. “It is a beautiful property and CIP distinguishes themselves by making the investment to provide a safer indoor environment for their residents by providing continuous technology to ensure safer air and surfaces. The Aspire at CityPlace team has been outstanding to work with on this project”.

Commercial Investment Properties has installed the CASPR – Continuous Air and Surface Pathogen Reduction — technology in the apartment community, located in Woodbury, Minnesota, during initial construction. CASPR has been awarded “Innovation of Excellence” by NASA for their work on healthcare. Using their healthcare grade technology, the developers installed small individual units inside elevators and larger units in HVAC ductwork throughout the common areas.

“We’re committed to our staff and residents in delivering a safe and clean place for them to live their lives”,” said Tom Schleich, Commercial Investment Properties’ CEO. “The future of apartment development demands the creation of safe spaces where our guests can live, work and play. We believe strongly in CASPR’s technology and plan to use it in forthcoming developments as well.”

Unlike disinfection processes that use an episodic ultraviolet (UV) light or harmful chemicals, CASPR’s technology uses a proprietary Natural Catalytic Converter process to naturally extract oxygen and moisture from ambient air and then produce and safely deliver continuous trace levels of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) to disinfect indoor spaces. The result is an automated and continuous reduction of air and surface viruses and bacteria in a way that is safe for use in spaces occupied with people, pets and plants, and with no need to modify existing custodial processes.

“Being able to offer clean, healthy environments for everyone is our mission at CASPR Technologies, and having the technology at work in Aspire at CityPlace will benefit residents and guests immensely,” said Dr. Christophe Suchy, co-founder and chief inventor of CASPR Technologies. “Our technology has been proven to kill 99.99% of SARS-CoV-2 viruses within 24 hours, which gives our customers peace of mind and a safe environment to meet the needs of those they serve.”

New-study-finds-two-thirds-consumers-more likely-to-patronize restaurants-that-practice-air-surface-disinfection

New Study Finds Two-thirds of Consumers Are More Likely to Patronize Restaurants and Businesses That Practice Air and Surface Disinfection

Study Reveals a Need For Restaurants, Offices and Mass Transit to Create and Actively Promote Environmental Safety

Even with inoculation levels rising and the number of new COVID-19 cases declining nationwide, restaurants, retail, mass transit and other businesses are seeking ways to encourage employee and customer confidence about returning to public environments.

A recent study conducted for Texas-based CASPR Technologies by New Orleans-based research group MDRG worked to gauge the importance consumers place upon air and surface disinfection. The study looked at key consumers in office buildings, public transportation, and retail environments and found clear patterns emerged that affect a consumer’s willingness to engage.

Several key findings emerged:

  • Two thirds of respondents are more likely to patronize a restaurant with an air and surface disinfecting solution over others.
  • Nearly 70% of public transportation users are willing to pay more for ticketing if air disinfection equipment is installed.
  • Over half of respondents felt that air disinfection solutions would still be important following the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Once aware of the existence of air and surface disinfecting technologies, most respondents increased the importance of those technologies when compared to other options (masks, hand washing, social distancing, etc.)

CASPR has now been able to help businesses find a way to install a solution that is effective against both viruses and bacteria in the air and on surfaces for free. The SBA recently revised rules for PPP utilization to include devices that affect sanitation, social distancing and worker safety.

When COVID-19 made working in offices, restaurants and retail stores challenging, technological leader CASPR Technologies moved to apply its medical-grade solutions for continuous air and surface disinfection to a broader range of buildings, sensing the public demand for solutions that eliminate up to 99.6 percent of contaminants, including bacteria and viruses.

“Working with customers in a variety of industries, we’ve found that our clients are using CASPR technology not only to create the safest indoor environment for their guests, but as a competitive advantage as their industries work to recover from the pandemic,” notes CASPR Technologies CEO Scott Wheeler. “We want to make sure that their investment in the world’s most innovative technology for air and surface disinfection gets noticed by the people who benefit from its installation.”

Texas A&M University-Commerce and CASPR Technologies Team Tackle COVID-19

Sweeping agreement reached to install COVID and MRSA-fighting technology to protect the university’s athletics department and athletes

COMMERCE, TEXAS – Texas A&M University-Commerce and CASPR Technologies announced a partnership which will see the Lion Athletics install CASPR’s award-winning disinfection technology throughout the school’s athletics facilities.

The A&M-Commerce Lions are flagship members of the Lone Star Conference and represent the university in Division II intercollegiate sports. The Lions are represented by nearly 450 student-athletes in 14 sports.

“CASPR technology has quickly established itself as a Best in Class partner for Lion Athletics and our institution,” said A&M-Commerce Director of Athletics Tim McMurray. “Throughout this pandemic, we have placed safety, health, and risk mitigation as our highest priority for our student-athletes, coaches, and staff. It is a true point of difference that CASPR is aligned with us on these guiding principles.”

“We are excited to partner with Texas A&M University-Commerce as they tackle the challenges of this pandemic,” said CASPR CEO and TAMUC alum Scott Wheeler. “More and more universities recognize that the entire environment must be treated, air and surface, if we are going to win the fight against COVID-19. It also helps that the technology works against bacteria, such as staph, especially within an athletic environment.”

Under the agreement, CASPR technology was installed throughout Lion Athletics’ facilities to provide 24/7 continuous disinfection to the lobby, meeting rooms, offices and locker rooms for all sports including Football, Basketball, Soccer, Softball, Golf, Volleyball, and Track & Field.

CASPR technology was installed within TAMUC’s existing HVAC systems to treat a majority of the air and surfaces within the facility. Individual portable units were also installed to ensure optimal coverage in hard-to-reach spaces. Independent lab tests show CASPR technology effectively reduces up to 99.9% of viruses, bacteria, and mold, including SARS-CoV2, the virus that causes COVID-19 and MRSA, the antibacterial-resistant staff bacteria which often plagues athletic facilities.

Hope’s Door Domestic Violence Shelter Reopens Resale Store Thanks to CASPR Disinfection Technology

Hope’s Door Domestic Violence Shelter Reopens Resale Store Thanks to CASPR Disinfection Technology

CASPR Mobile Units Created Safe and Clean Environment to Protect Patrons and Volunteers from COVID-19 and Other Communicable Diseases

DALLAS – Feb. 22, 2021 – Hope’s Door New Beginning Center (HDNBC), a Dallas-area domestic violence shelter, recently reopened its resale store thanks to three CASPR Mobile air and surface disinfection units that were donated by 2C MedTech, a distributor of CASPR products in Texas.

The consumer-facing resale shop for HDNBC, located at 2129 W. Parker Road, Suite 300 in Plano, brings in a significant revenue stream for the organization. This allows the center to serve all of North Texas with various programs including a hotline that receives more than 5,000 calls yearly and emergency shelters with a 55-bed capacity, which house more than 500 adults and children in residence each year. The recent pandemic, however, put an even more significant strain on families, according to Christina Coultas, CEO of HDNBC.

“COVID-19 affected many families in significant ways – one being increased cases of domestic violence due to stay-at-home orders,” she said. Family violence calls to Texas law enforcement increased by 9% during the first six months of the pandemic, while victims of family violence reported a 40% decrease in their safety. “The pandemic made decisions for survivors to access safety and support complicated,” Coultas added.

On top of that, the organization’s resale store was hit because volunteers couldn’t safely serve customers at the store. “Many of our regular resale volunteers are in a high-risk category for the virus,” said Coultas. “And when one of our staff had a confirmed case of COVID-19, we knew we had to close shop for the safety of everyone.”

With fewer people coming to its shelters and the closure of the resale store, the organization took a 30% revenue hit on its budget in 2020, one of the largest declines since it began serving North Texas more than 35 years ago. With no immediate solution in sight, the management team was concerned they wouldn’t be able to reopen their doors.

That is when 2C MedTech stepped in to donate three CASPR Mobile units for use in the resale store. HDNBC was also able to get funding for an additional two units that will be installed in the organization’s community living spaces. “We were able to reopen our resale store due to the CASPR units, plus we can now assure victims seeking services that we have added additional protection for a clean, safe place for survivors to stay,” added Coultas.

Unlike disinfection processes that use an episodic ultraviolet (UV) light or harmful chemicals, CASPR’s technology uses a proprietary Natural Catalytic Converter (NCC) process to naturally extract oxygen and moisture from ambient air and then produce and safely deliver continuous trace levels of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) to disinfect indoor spaces. The result is an automated and continuous reduction of air and surface viruses and bacteria in a way that is safe for use in spaces occupied with people and pets, and with no need to modify existing custodial processes.

“Being able to offer clean, healthy environments for everyone is our mission at CASPR Technologies, and it’s so important in spaces that serve a critical need in our communities, such as Hope’s Door New Beginning Center,” said Dr. Christophe Suchy, co-founder and chief inventor of CASPR Technologies. “Our technology has been proven to kill 99.99% of SARS-CoV-2 viruses within 24 hours, which gives our customers peace of mind and a safe environment to meet the needs of those they serve.”

The family-owned company specializes in HVAC and indoor air quality (IAQ) products, giving them the expertise to successfully represent CASPR’s portable and in-duct air and surface disinfection products in the market.

According to Bob Engel Jr, President of API of NH, the quality of CASPR’s product line, backed by validated data supporting the products’ efficacy, made the company an important addition to their portfolio.

“We pride ourselves on being a value-added distributor that can help our customers grow their businesses with the best products in the market,” said Engel. “We’ve brought on the CASPR line of products because we believe they offer tremendous value and are an excellent offering for businesses and spaces needing continuous surface and air disinfection. When you combine great products with great data to back them up, you have a winning solution.”

The agreement with API of NH gives CASPR immediate access to a key market, says Dr. Christophe Suchy, co-founder of CASPR Technologies and chief inventor.

CASPR Partners with Staten Island Ferry to Ensure Safety of Passengers and Staff

CASPR Technologies is excited to announce that we have partnered with Staten Island Ferry in New York City, the 2nd largest ferry system in the U.S., with service dating back to 1817. CASPR’s continuous disinfection technology is now helping to protect passengers, staff, and visitors from a wide-variety of viruses, bacteria, and mold, including SARS-CoV2, the virus that causes COVID-19.

Staten Island Ferry provides 22 million people a year with ferry service between Staten Island and Whitehall Street in lower Manhattan and is the only non-vehicular mode of transportation between Staten Island and Manhattan. Under the arrangement, CASPR’s award-winning technology is operating in all vessels, administrative offices, break rooms, and maintenance shops.

“CASPR Technologies is obviously honored to be working with Staten Island Ferry, an iconic New York institution. Not only will passengers and staff have greater peace of mind knowing our technology is up and running all the time, but this partnership also represents a key milestone in our war against the pandemic. Transportation providers are on the front lines. So, if we can help reduce the spread there, we can better protect Americans, and all people, from contracting this deadly disease,” said Todd Wiggs, Senior Vice President, Sales and Business Development for CASPR Technologies.
