DALLAS – July 19, 2022 — Environmental health technology company
CASPR Technologies is pleased to announce the hiring of a new Chief Operating Officer. Matt Horine joined CASPR this week.

Horine’s commercial operations experience includes scaling businesses and products across multiple industries including technology platforms and marketplaces, supply chain, security and building materials.

He most recently served as vice president of engagement for IntelliCentrics, where he was responsible for the delivery-side engagement strategy for thousands of hospitals and medical facilities using a platform-based technology for healthcare credential management. Horine was previously at Veryable, the on-demand labor marketplace for manufacturing, warehouse and distribution operations.

Horine served as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army and received a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Pepperdine University.

“Matt’s experience in sales, scaling businesses, bringing products to market and his proven leadership track record make him a perfect fit for CASPR Technologies,” said CASPR co-founder and Executive Chairwoman Gail Warrior. “We’re excited for him to begin leading the day-to-day operations of the company.”

CASPR – which stands for Continuous Air & Surface Pathogen Reduction – uses proprietary Natural Catalytic Conversion (NCC™) technology to provide healthier indoor air and surface environments across industries including healthcare, education, transportation, and commercial real estate.

CASPR differs from other air purification technologies on the market in two important ways: First, the technology acts continuously, as opposed to a filter, which episodically cleans the air; and second, it also protects surfaces from harmful bacteria and viruses. CASPR’s revolutionary technology is the only continuous intervention that delivers effective oxidizing molecules to all surfaces including walls and floors reducing bioburdens 24/7. Some CASPR models reduce up to 99.96% of the viruses, bacteria and molds from air and surfaces.

“CASPR’s unique environmental technology offerings and their astounding efficacy rates are truly exciting in this period of time in which we find ourselves caring more about the health of our buildings and surfaces,” Horine said. “I’m ready to get started and can’t wait to take CASPR Technologies to new horizons.”

Since its founding in 2016, CASPR (Continuous Air & Surface Pathogen Reduction) Technologies has been a leader in smart environmental indoor technology for healthcare and other spaces. The company’s solutions work to ensure the air we breathe is the safest it can be, adding to our well-being and enhancing our performance in the process. Its award-winning, patent-pending NCC™ technology proactively and continuously disinfects indoor air and surfaces at the molecular level.

And while the company’s technology is based on work created for the medical industry, it has applications far beyond healthcare, to locations in retail, commercial real estate, institutions and more. Recently, CASPR has found itself returning to its medical roots in a new way, serving clients in the country’s largest chain of retail medical clinics with a major footprint in the American retail landscape.

CVS Health has installed CASPR technology in all of its more than 1,100CVS Minute Clinic logo MinuteClinic® locations inside select CVS Pharmacy stores across 35 states and Washington, D.C. CASPR helps keep MinuteClinic safer by reducing harmful bacteria, viruses and other germs in the air and on surfaces.

CASPR works with the ambient air in your environment to create oxidizing molecules that neutralize pathogens in the air you breathe and on surfaces you touch. The technology was originally developed for use in hospital settings to prevent illnesses from being passed around between staff and patients and has been found to reduce hospital-acquired infections and employee absenteeism. Recently, an independent lab tested CASPR technology against air and surface purification units from two other companies and found that CASPR’s models topped out at a 99% reduction in pathogens compared to its competitors’ 45% reduction.

The models used in MinuteClinic are CASPR Compacts, a plug-and-play solution that does not require any installation. Despite its small footprint, it is still up to 99.96% effective in reducing pathogens. Its silent and continuous operation provides full-size protection in a compact solution. CASPR Compacts sit on a pedestal that spells out what the technology is doing to keep MinuteClinic® patients and providers safer.

The CASPR Compacts were installed at MinuteClinic by New Hampshire-based Environmental Disinfection Solutions. Ken McCarthy, president of EDS, says he has installed the technology in a wide variety of businesses, ranging from MinuteClinic®, dialysis clinics, hospitals, schools, regional transportation and restaurants.

“We applaud CVS in taking the lead in providing a safer environment for the customers and employees,” McCarthy said. “Having real-world results makes it easy to be passionate about CASPR’s technology, and how it helps keep our people and indoor spaces safe.”

“With technology rooted in healthcare, our solutions are designed to bring peace of mind that comes with disinfected indoor spaces,” said Dr. Christophe Suchy, CTO and chief inventor at CASPR Technologies. “Being able to help protect MinuteClinic patients is a success story of which we’re really proud.”

Patients come to MinuteClinic for wellness essentials ranging from general physical exams, women’s services and vaccines to specialized care for chronic conditions such as diabetes and sleep apnea.

Angela Patterson, Chief Nurse Practitioner Officer, MinuteClinic and Vice President, CVS Health, says the providers she has talked to have been enthusiastic about CASPR’s presence in their clinics.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has been tough on everyone over the past two years, and at MinuteClinic, patient and provider safety has always been our highest priority. Our providers are so appreciative knowing their clinic setting is protected by CASPR’s unique technology,” she said. “And our patients can rest easy knowing we are doing everything in our power to keep them healthy.”

CASPR Announces Hyridix as New San Antonio Distributor

New Tech Distributor to Introduce the World’s Best Air and Surface Disinfection Technology to the Region

DALLAS – April 4, 2022 — When San Antonio’s JP McHazlett first saw CASPR Technologies’ scientific innovations, he knew that its air and surface purification technology needed to be introduced to the Alamo City. He approached business partner Albert Herrera and the two formed Hyridix, CASPR Technologies’ newest distributor.

The team’s unique corporate name, Hyridix, is an homage to CASPR Tech’s patent-pending NCC™ technology, which uses photocatalysts to convert the moisture in the ambient air into low levels of gaseous hydrogen peroxide. These highly effective oxidizing molecules blanket the surface of the targeted area and eliminate air and surface pathogens, including bacteria such as MRSA and viruses such as influenza and SARS-CoV-2.

Herrera, who has an extensive background in education, first thought that CASPR’s technology could be a game-changer for schools, which have been challenged the past two years through the COVID pandemic. However, since gaining a deeper knowledge of the products, he now sees a multitude of potential uses.

“The ease of use of the CASPR Compact allows us to bring the world’s leading air and surface purification technology to virtually any business or institution,” said Herrera.

CASPR Compact is a plug-and-play solution that does not require any installation. Despite its small footprint, it is still 99.96% effective in reducing pathogens. Its silent and continuous operation gives its users peace of mind.

While Hyridix is based in San Antonio, McHazlett plans to reach customers throughout the region.

“We’re hoping to bring CASPR Technologies to business partners across South Central Texas,” said McHazlett. “We are proud to be introducing CASPR products to this region.”

The CASPR Technologies executive team is excited about the enthusiasm Hyridix brings to the relationship.

“We’ve enjoyed developing a relationship with the Hyridix team, and know that they will be innovative and engaged partners,” said CASPR Tech founder and CTO Dr. Christophe Suchy.

For more information on Hyridix, visit Hyridix.com or email Albert.Herrera@hyridix.com.

Independent Lab Tests Prove CASPR Beats Competitors

Air and Surface Disinfection Company’s Units Show Up to 99% Pathogen Reduction vs. Competitors’ 45% Reduction

DALLAS – March 29, 2022 — Environmental health technology company CASPR Technologies has beat two competing technologies in independent laboratory testing. Kansas-based Aerosol Research and Engineering (ARE) Laboratories tested CASPR technology against air and surface purification units from two other companies and found that CASPR Tech’s models topped out at a 99% reduction in pathogens compared to its competitors’ 45% reduction.

CASPR – which stands for Continuous Air & Surface Pathogen Reduction – uses proprietary Natural Catalytic Conversion (NCC™) technology, which uses photocatalysts to convert the moisture in the ambient air into low levels of gaseous hydrogen peroxide. These highly effective oxidizing molecules blanket the surface of the targeted area and eliminate air and surface pathogens, including bacteria such as MRSA and viruses such as influenza and SARS-CoV-2. Competitor A uses a photocatalytic process with different catalytic coatings and light frequencies than the NCC™ technology that may generate different chemical outputs and contaminants. Competitor B uses a process called bipolar ionization to produce positive and negative ions.

The FDA-compliant laboratory conducted testing on four newly manufactured disinfection units: two CASPR Technologies models, and two competing models. The two CASPR Tech models used were CASPR PRO 2500 and CASPR MEDIK 14”, which have been widely used for years in business. All four units were tested in a 16m3 stainless steel bioaerosol chamber using a partial duct HVAC system and were designed to operate in 2,000-square foot spaces. Each unit was placed in the chamber and given 16 hours to reduce pathogens in the air and on surfaces. The pathogen was the same for all tests – MRSE, a common bacterium that serves as a surrogate for bacteria including MRSA.

The specific results:

    • CASPR Pro 2500 reduced pathogens by 93.6%
    • CASPR MEDIK 14” reduced pathogens by 99.0%
    • Competitor A’s photocatalytic unit reduced pathogens by 45.5%
    • Competitor B’s bipolar ionization unit reduced pathogens by 45.6%

“Independent testing is the only way to know what truly works. The value proposition of the NCC™ technology continues to prove that it is the best path forward when talking about reducing pathogens on surfaces and in the air,” said CASPR Technologies co-founder Dr. Christophe Suchy, who invented the technology. “The CASPR Tech products more than doubled the efficacy rate of their closest competitors. In the end, CASPR Tech’s customers win.”

CASPR Tech differs from other air purification technologies on the market in two important ways: First, the technology acts continuously, as opposed to a filter, which episodically cleans the air; and second, it also protects surfaces from harmful bacteria and viruses. CASPR’s revolutionary technology provides continuous intervention that delivers effective oxidizing molecules to all surfaces including walls and floors reducing bioburdens 24/7.

“In our independent study, the CASPR MEDIK 14” and CASPR Pro 2500 showed more than twice the efficacy of Competitors A and B in reducing the levels of MRSE found in the testing room,” said Andrew Dexter, the staff research scientist with ARE Labs who conducted the testing. “These results suggest that NCC™ technology performs better than bipolar ionization and photocatalytic processes at reducing pathogens.”

Sanitizing Santaland: It’s Not a Holiday Miracle… It’s Science!

Two Dallas companies created ‘most magical’ holiday experiences at the Galleria. The mall kept two creative firms busy designing and operating its Santaland and Snowday experiences.

What makes Santaland the most magical?

There’s a big buildup to the visit with Santa. Families ride on the rumbling express train, where they look out the windows at the changing countryside. Then they walk through a “moonlit forest along an enchanted path filled with starry lights” to Santa’s chalet. There, Santa already has an idea about what the kiddos want for Christmas and knows the siblings’ names.

It’s not pandemic 2020′s standing in a line out in the mall corridor for your turn with Santa seated way up on his sleigh behind a Plexiglass screen.

What makes it the safest?

Santa’s chalet, the only fully enclosed space, is protected by technology from Addison-based CASPR Technology that continuously cleans viruses and bacteria off air and surfaces. Santa is vaccinated, and children don’t have to wear masks. They sit on a bench beside him. Santa will wear a face shield if families prefer that.

“[The company that designed and operates Santaland] Baymo had a vision and made it happen,” [General Manager of the Galleria] Angie Freed said. “They, too, have families and wanted it to be the most magical, layered in technology. It’s not your typical mall photo operator experience.”

Santaland is bringing additional traffic to the mall from people who wanted to see an “in-person” Santa, Freed said. NorthPark Center decided to make its Santa virtual for the second consecutive year.

Galleria Santa reservations are more than double last year’s numbers and are up 20% from 2019, Freed said.

The new experiences bring a new layer to Galleria’s longtime holiday traditions of the 95-foot Christmas tree in the ice rink and its official unveiling on Black Friday with a skating Santa and indoor fireworks.

The mall doesn’t know yet whether the new Santaland is a moneymaker, but, Freed said, “It’s meant to be a gift to North Texas.”

Hotworx Knoxville Creates Culture of Wellness With Technology

Hotworx Knoxville franchisees go all-in with technology: infrared saunas workouts, plus CASPR Pro duct-mounted to kill pathogens and odors

Source: ABC Affiliate WATE in Knoxville

by: Melanie Vásquez Russell

Hotworx Knoxville Creates Culture of Wellness With TechnologyKNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Tucked in caches of local businesses among three Knox-area communities are studios of saunas that boast infrared technology and workouts that require more heat, but less time to burn calories while also giving the user benefits such as less inflammation and anti-aging effects. The owners of the Hotworx Knoxville franchise chain, Jen and Robert LeBus (pronounced “lee-bis”), are aiming to bring these benefits to more people as they continue to grow.

“We want to create a culture around these – a culture of safety, of health and wellness,” Robert LeBus, Hotworx Knoxville franchise co-owner, said.

What is an infrared sauna and why are people working out in it? According to the Mayo Clinic, an infrared sauna uses light to create heat, while a traditional sauna uses heat to warm the air; an infrared sauna heats a person’s body directly. Several studies have looked at using infrared saunas in the treatment of chronic health problems, such as high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, headache, type 2 diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis, and found some evidence of benefit; however, larger and more rigorous studies are needed to confirm these results.

CASPR Technologies

In Knoxville, the use of this infrared technology coupled with that of the CASPR [DUCT-MOUNT] air purifying system from Complete Disinfectant Solutions are part of the Hotworx Knoxville owners’ plan to bring a safer workout environment to clients. The technology was originally created with NASA for its space lab explorers in small vessels.

“CASPR [Technologies] really brought all of the third-party validation, all of the medical validation, all of the testing validation that’s been going on since the 60s that says, ‘this stuff does what is says,’ and since we’ve incorporated that, we now know that we absolutely have one of the safest places to work out – because we invested in that,”
– Robert LeBus

All three Hotworx Knoxville locations have CASPR installed into the HVAC system. Complete Disinfectant Solutions says it’s an innovative “no-touch” disinfection technology that helps create Hydrogen peroxide oxidizers that kill pathogens and combat against bacteria, viruses and mold – as well as odors. After seeing the results at their Hotworx studios, Robert LeBus bought the local distribution rights – and they’ve offered the system to others such as Knox Area Rescue Ministries (KARM) and also donated the system to a Bearden High School sports facilities.

How To Protect Your Business by Reducing Staff Absenteeism

According to a study by the Integrated Benefits Institute, “Due to lost time from work caused by COVID-19, employee benefits for absent workers could cost employers more than $23 billion in total.”

– Nashville Tennessean

COVID-19 has impacted our businesses and lives longer than most people anticipated.

Even with the strides that have been made, safety measures, and science advancements, the novel coronavirus and its ripple effects are still impeding companies worldwide.

Here at home, the U.S. is experiencing an unprecedented staffing shortage across the country in industry silos including healthcare, manufacturing, food, tourism and more.

CASPR’s own Dr. Christophe Suchy is quoted in this article about the company’s continuous disinfection solutions that are available now, offering a no-touch solution for businesses looking to protect their spaces and their employees and get people back to work.

Getting Ahead of the Employee Shortage

“No matter the pathogen or the year, the impact of staff absenteeism needs to be addressed and fixed. No excuses. The solution is already here.”

Dr. Christophe Suchy
Inventor, Founder, CTO: CASPR Technologies

ABSENTEEISM IS EVERYWHERE AND NOT GOING ANYWHERE

COVID-19 has impacted our businesses and lives longer than most people anticipated. Here at home, the U.S. is experiencing an unprecedented staffing shortage across the country. Each community has its own concept of why that is – wages, J-Visas, stipends, housing shortages, unemployment programs – but if you depend on employees showing up for work, you can’t afford to lose them. Cleaning, disinfecting, and keeping your distance are all great measures to stay healthy, but it may not be enough to keep your business staffed and your doors fully open.

IT COSTS US ALL, EVERY YEAR

According to a study by the Integrated Benefits Institute, “Due to lost time from work caused by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), employee benefits for absent workers could cost employers more than $23 billion in total.”

To alleviate the problem, businesses have taken measures such as shortening operating hours, closing certain days of the week, or opening as usual with minimal staff but then dealing with obvious delays in service. This is not all new. Public schools and businesses all over the country have dealt with lack of staff even prior to the pandemic because of the annual flu and other viruses. No matter the pathogen or the year, the impact of staff absenteeism needs to be addressed and fixed.

THIS IS THE PROVEN, INDEPENDENTLY TESTED SOLUTION

CASPR has an independently tested technology and a proactive solution originally designed for hospitals, which can also be used safely in any business. Its continuous disinfecting properties are scientifically proven to reduce staff absenteeism.

In a hospital trial, CASPR’s products were installed in the HVAC system and supplied a continuous application of low levels of oxidizing molecules over a four-month period. It created healthier air to breathe and, simultaneously, cleaner surfaces for staff and patients.
Compared to the previous year:

  • Reduction from 1,313 absentee hours to 762 hours
  • Bottom line: that is a 44% improvement
  • Hospital room turnover times shortened by 30 minutes
  • Benefit: once installed, the solution required zero maintenance
  • Benefit: drastic reduction in costs associated with enhanced disinfecting protocols that require staff time to operate, hiring outside labor, and purchasing extra cleaning supplies

THE BOTTOM LINE FOR YOUR BUSINESS

CASPR Technologies has benefits beyond neutralizing up to 99.96% of the viruses, bacteria, mold, odors, and other volatile organic compounds simultaneously in the air and on surfaces. It allows stymied businesses to function better by solving the largest problem first: staff absenteeism.

FINALLY, STOP DEPENDING ON EPISODIC SOLUTIONS

Work environments need a solution that works continuously. But finding a “one-size-fits-all” product is difficult, time consuming and it’s not going to come from periodic treatments that come in a spray bottle or a mister. CASPR (Continuous Air & Surface Pathogen Reduction) is an innovative “no-touch” disinfection technology that utilizes a Natural Catalytic Conversion (NCC™) to create safe levels of gaseous hydrogen peroxide out of ambient humidity and oxygen in the air. Literally, turn it on and walk away. It works for you, so we can all get back to work.

fusion-medical-animation-rnr8D3FNUNY-unsplash

CASPR disinfection technology kills 98% of SARS-CoV-2 viruses on surfaces within six hours and 99.99% within 24 hours, according to a recent study conducted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

According to a recent study conducted by the University of Wisconsin-Madison, CASPR 1000 In-Duct disinfection technology kills 98% of SARS-CoV-2 viruses on surfaces within six hours and 99.99% within 24 hours

“…CASPR’s technology uses a proprietary Natural Catalytic Converter (NCC) process to naturally extract oxygen and moisture from ambient air and then produce and continuously deliver trace levels of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) to disinfect indoor spaces,” said a company spokesperson. “The result is an automated and continuous reduction of air and surface viruses and bacteria in a way that is safe for use in spaces occupied with people and pets, and with no need to modify existing custodial processes.”
