CASPR Technologies Protects Students and Staff from Illnesses

DALLAS — It’s a fact: Kids in school spread germs around in what seems like an endless cycle, causing both illness and absenteeism among students and staff. But now there’s a way to keep schools and the people in them healthier by limiting the spread of nasty viruses and bacteria.

CASPR Technologies, an Addison, Texas-based environmental health technology company, offers a continuous intervention solution that delivers effective oxidizing molecules to all surfaces and throughout the air, reducing bioburdens 24/7. This technology has been installed in dozens of schools across the country since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We want to keep kids in school because absences impede their ability to learn and succeed. CASPR has been an important tool for keeping our classrooms clean,” said Michelle Haynes, principal of the Sisulu-Walker Charter School of Harlem, which has had the technology in place since 2020.

CASPR – which stands for Continuous Air & Surface Pathogen Reduction – uses proprietary Natural Catalytic Conversion (NCC™) technology to provide healthier indoor air and surface environments. The technology acts continuously, protecting surfaces from harmful bacteria and viruses.

While CASPR’s award-winning technology was originally created for healthcare environments, it now is being used in schools, businesses, residential complexes and even in the transportation industry. Recent independent studies have concluded that the technology provided by CASPR is more than twice as effective as any competing technology.

“CASPR is an excellent choice for schools, and summer is the perfect time to install it,” said CASPR co-founder and CTO Christophe Suchy. “We’ve seen a lot of anecdotal evidence that it reduces absenteeism and saves money for schools, which don’t have to hire substitute teachers.”

When Warren Easton Charter High School in New Orleans was getting ready to bring students and teachers back into the classroom during the height of the pandemic, it also installed CASPR Technologies’ environmental health products in its building.

“Although we performed continuous testing in our school-based clinic for the entire school year after CASPR was installed, we did not find any positive COVID-19 cases for our students and faculty,” said David J. Garland, chair of the school’s board of directors. “It’s an amazing success story.”

Warren Easton found that CASPR provided an added benefit they hadn’t thought about when purchasing the system. The 107-year-old masonry building had a distinctive odor that came from the old bricks. That smell essentially disappeared after CASPR was installed. “It’s a clear indicator that the CASPR units were living up to our expectations,” Garland added.

Nick Licata, managing partner of Natural Disinfection Solutions, a Louisiana-based distributor of CASPR products, has placed CASPR in nearly three dozen schools across the state.

“We believe in the CASPR technology and are proud to help schools achieve healthier environments through the use of CASPR, which eliminates not only SARS-CoV-2 but other harmful pathogens as well,” he said. “CASPR is even on the General Services Agency (GSA) schedule, making it easy for public schools to invest in the technology.”

MATT HORINE JOINS CASPR TECHNOLOGIES AS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Horine brings extensive leadership experience to their new role at an air and surface disinfection technology company.

DALLAS – July 19, 2022 — Environmental health technology company
CASPR Technologies is pleased to announce the hiring of a new Chief Operating Officer. Matt Horine joined CASPR this week.

Horine’s commercial operations experience includes scaling businesses and products across multiple industries including technology platforms and marketplaces, supply chain, security and building materials.

He most recently served as vice president of engagement for IntelliCentrics, where he was responsible for the delivery-side engagement strategy for thousands of hospitals and medical facilities using a platform-based technology for healthcare credential management. Horine was previously at Veryable, the on-demand labor marketplace for manufacturing, warehouse and distribution operations.

Horine served as an Infantry Officer in the U.S. Army and received a B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Pepperdine University.

“Matt’s experience in sales, scaling businesses, bringing products to market and his proven leadership track record make him a perfect fit for CASPR Technologies,” said CASPR co-founder and Executive Chairwoman Gail Warrior. “We’re excited for him to begin leading the day-to-day operations of the company.”

CASPR – which stands for Continuous Air & Surface Pathogen Reduction – uses proprietary Natural Catalytic Conversion (NCC™) technology to provide healthier indoor air and surface environments across industries including healthcare, education, transportation, and commercial real estate.

CASPR differs from other air purification technologies on the market in two important ways: First, the technology acts continuously, as opposed to a filter, which episodically cleans the air; and second, it also protects surfaces from harmful bacteria and viruses. CASPR’s revolutionary technology is the only continuous intervention that delivers effective oxidizing molecules to all surfaces including walls and floors reducing bioburdens 24/7. Some CASPR models reduce up to 99.96% of the viruses, bacteria and molds from air and surfaces.

“CASPR’s unique environmental technology offerings and their astounding efficacy rates are truly exciting in this period of time in which we find ourselves caring more about the health of our buildings and surfaces,” Horine said. “I’m ready to get started and can’t wait to take CASPR Technologies to new horizons.”
